So many silly songs we would sing as children.
It is so nostalgic to think of them.
One I had been singing, and for absolutely no reason at all is this one,"Liar Liar Pants of Fire."
LOL!
It got me thinking...
"What does that mean, exactly?"
In some beliefs, it meant the punishment resulted from lying.
Being "spanked" by Authority, whether literally or figuratively.
Either way, this figure of speech caught my thoughts.
There is perhaps nothing that "feels" worse, than when being lied to.
It never seems to have anything to do with WHAT we were lied to, regarding, but the act of being lied to, as it makes us feel like personal respect is being disregarded.
It is also not easy to take in the fact that when others lie, it has absolutely nothing to do with us, whether or not we decide to take it, personally.
The best thing we can do, when we believe we are faced with betrayal rather than truth, is to look at the situation, with love, and with a belief that the person hurting most is the one betraying, who is only truly betraying themselves.
If we can look to all situations with loving kindness, perhaps the kind of situations that we will attract will result in more than likely, kindness, itself.
